He needs to tell us were he stands on this 30/30 hopefully he stands with the ranchers and farmers.

Marty is a good man, an honest man, always looking for reasonable solutions for everyone to live with minimal governmental intrusion. Problem is his character was twisted around by the media his last gubernatorial run and as AG career was one term and couldn't even warm the seat up to effectuate positive change in the state legal system. Marty cares more than the average citizen can appreciate about the future of South Dakota. A GREAT South Dakota for all! Hell you people are smart enough to elect him we are packing up our farm and South Dakota bound once again!

I don't think he realizes that a big reason he isn't governor right now is exactly because of his scotus case making it mandatory to collect taxes from internet purchases, such as from Amazon etc. You may claim that it leveled the playing field for local businesses but in fact only increase their cost of business requiring them to now become compliant with 49 other states tax rules and collecting those taxes, not to mention effectively increasing everyone's tax burden. We are already taxed way to much.

So you are the reason Rock Auto won't deliver car parts to my house? Sounds to me like you didn't come up with a proper solution to making sure online retailers are able to charge city tax easily. Now some retailers just opt out because its too complicated to gather every cities tax information. But thats for another day. Im sure you are working hard on making sure South Dakota is able to collect taxes on legal marijuana sales right?

Hi Marty Jackley, will you support statutory implementation of cannabis adult-use legalization to honor the will of the voters? Or, will you continue the tradition of the Attorney General's office and use your publicly funded lobbyists to push the continued criminalization and incarceration of cannabis consumers? I've witnessed the AG, Public Safety and State's Attorney's all lobby our legislators for laws that call for putting someone who smokes a joint of marijuana in jail for up to a year. Publicly funded lobbyists at the behalf of the AG have also defended South Dakota's notorious and draconian "possession by ingestion" law, which makes someone a felon who consumes cannabis in Colorado and then visits South Dakota, for merely having THC in their bloodstream, and can face up to a year in jail. It seems now the voters have spoke and I want to know if you will align the policy priorities of your office with what the people want and expect. Thank you!

I had a great time at the Lawrence County Lincoln Day Dinner in Spearfish. They had a huge turnout of nearly 200 people. They also had a remarkable speaker, Peter Vodenka, who told his story of defecting from behind the iron curtain of communist Czechoslovakia with his young family to come to America. He appreciates the freedom we have because he knows what it is like to live without it and he risk his life to come to America. ... See MoreSee Less

I have heard Peter speak several times and I have read his book. I could listen to him for hours.

Good luck. And keep up the good work.
